About The Position

The Program Manager – Transplant provides strategic and operational leadership to support Mayo Clinic in Florida solid organ transplant programs’ growth, access, and performance. This role partners closely with internal transplant groups (physicians, APPs, allied health professionals, practice leadership) and shared services (Marketing, Mayo Clinic Referral Coordination Office, Contracting and Payer Relations, Communications, etc.) to drive referral development, optimize front-end operations, and ensure high-quality, efficient program execution. The position is based on site at our Jacksonville, FL campus. Business Development & Outreach (~70% focus) · Lead demand generation strategy to grow organ failure and transplant referrals and market presence. · Develop and manage demand generation plans, including OKRs, progress tracking, and performance metrics. · Collaborate with transplant and shared service groups to execute demand generation plans. · Plan and execute referral-facing activities such as events, symposiums, meetings, and educational outreach. · Build and maintain strong relationships with referring providers, community partners, and internal stakeholders. · Monitor market trends and competitive dynamics to inform growth strategy and positioning. · Support contracting-related activities aligned with referral development and program growth. Operational Performance & Demand Capture (~30% focus) · Partner with clinical operations to manage and refine front-end operational workflows that support access, intake, and patient flow. · Lead initiatives to improve demand capture and referral conversion. · Develop and standardize referral best practices to improve efficiency, provider experience, and patient experience. · Identify process improvement opportunities and lead change management efforts in partnership with clinical and operational leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required in management, business administration, health care administration, clinical care or related field with a minimum of 6 years of related experience; OR Master’s degree in management, business administration, health care administration, clinical care or related field with a minimum of 3 years related experience required.
  • Working knowledge of clinical practice / operations, data management, timeline / project management, computer / related systems are required.
  • Must have demonstrated competencies in strategic and program / systems thinking, business acumen, clinical practice operations, decision-making, leading change, change management, global thinking, influence without authority, communication, conflict resolution, process and systems change and performance excellence.
  • Demonstrated project management and knowledge of continuous improvement methods.
  • Must have the ability to independently manage a varied workload of projects and assignments with multiple priorities in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Will need to take initiative to develop and implement innovative solutions to issues with significant financial and operational impact to the clinical practice(s).
  • Working knowledge and understanding of performance metrics, planning and resource development / enhancement is essential.
  • Must have strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated effectiveness in management and group dynamics, including team problem solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills are required.
