About The Position

The contractor will work with the Division of Teaching and Learning to ensure Educator Preparation Providers (EPPs) adhere to the state approval processes outlined in Title 5, Subtitle A, Section 1700 of the District of Columbia Municipal Regulations (DCMR). Specifically, the Program Manager will ensure EPP compliance with all regulatory requirements, create resources that provide EPPs with clear guidance related to the regulations, coordinate technical assistance efforts with programs that do not fully meet the OSSE standards, and write/review reports generated as a result of state review visits. The Program Manager must have experience in the accreditation and state approval of educator preparation programs, implementing the science of reading in teacher preparation, and teacher apprenticeships

Requirements

  • Strong comm skills - ability to articulate technical terms : 10 years
  • clinical practices for students pursuing degree education: 10 years
  • Bachelor’s degree or related field or equivalent : 3 years
  • 11yrs MS Office + MS Project or other Project Management s/W: 10 years
  • work University setting within a School/College of Education: 10 years
  • Previous title of “Dean”/“Interim Dean”/ “Associate Dean” : 5 years
  • creati/ implement a registered teacher apprenticeship: 2 years
  • develop publis resources for educator preparation providers: 5 years
