Proven experience delivering LEED-certified or similar rating system projects. Experience with alternative project delivery methods is a plus. Strong knowledge of sustainable building systems, including energy-efficient mechanical systems and water reuse strategies. Demonstrated ability to perform both quantitative and qualitative building performance analysis. Proficiency in sustainability modeling and analysis tools. Experience supervising or mentoring sustainability staff. Credentials: LEED AP with specialty, LFA, WELL, or similar are strongly encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing sustainable design strategies as a core member of project teams from early concept through construction administration and post-occupancy.
  • Integrating sustainability goals into all phases of project delivery, including alternative delivery methods such as Progressive Design-Build.
  • Overseeing and delivering LEED-certified projects across multiple building typologies, with additional experience in Living Future, Fitwel, WELL, Envision, or similar frameworks considered a plus.
  • Appling and interpreting sustainability-related codes and policies, including CALGreen, Title 24, California Energy Code, and the Buy Clean California Act.
  • Contributing to the firm’s sustainable design operations group through tool development, internal research, and staff/project support.
  • Conducting and overseeing building performance analyses, including energy modeling, daylighting studies, and Whole Building Life Cycle Assessments (WBLCA).
  • Producing clear, high-quality reports, presentations, and sustainability narratives for internal and client-facing deliverables.
  • Facilitating workshops, presentations, and stakeholder engagements; may represent the firm through public speaking, conferences, or industry committees.
  • Mentoring and supporting junior sustainability staff, fostering growth and knowledge sharing across teams.
