Job Summary Responsible for the coordination and daily operations of the Supported Employment Program, including quality service delivery, recruitment, and outreach for participants of the program. Provide supervision, training and guidance to assigned staff. Oversee the development and implementation of services for participants of the program. Ensure compliance with all requirements of funding partners and regulatory bodies. Primary Duties Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. These duties and responsibilities will be rated on the Annual Performance Review. Supervise assigned staff to include hiring, training, mentoring, and completing performance evaluations across a multi-county territory requiring 2-3 days per county, per month in-person travel to ensure staff responsibilities are completed accurately, timely, and in compliance with requirements of regulatory bodies, funding partners, and CARF. Lead the services at the Supported Employment program to ensure that the program is aligned with the goals of our mission and funding partners and maximizes billing utilization. Ensure that the program provides meaningful and quality services, meets participants’ needs, ensures health and safety, and reaches desired outcomes. Ensure the timely assignment of referrals, accurate management of the authorizations, and completion of monthly billing processes through State Portal systems and SetWorks. Maintain collaboration with all members of the support team and other relevant internal and external programs, resources, community partners and employers to support the success of individuals in the program. Ensure accurate and timely completion of all required documentation and planning. Maintain familiarity with all regulatory requirements, funding partners, and CARF and ensure compliance with such regulations. Additional Responsibilities Review staff documentation as required. Assure that all documentation is collected and maintained to required guidelines of the funding partners and regulatory bodies. Ensure that the vocational and non-vocational needs of the individuals served are being met and monitor services being provided by assigned staff to secure that they are holistic and person-centered. Meeting regularly with team members individually and as a group to discuss challenges, brainstorm solutions, including employment strategies, behavioral and crisis interventions and and counseling techniques. Collect required outcome data and analyze to determine success of program. Conduct focus groups and satisfaction surveys with individuals served, family members, and other partners. Provide guidance and leadership in areas of program design, development and implementation. Meet with representatives of other community agencies, support coordinators, families, and significant others for the purpose of employee program planning and review. Coordinate and participate in Person-Centered Planning (PCP) process as needed and other meetings pertaining to the participant’s outcomes and support activities. Complete and/or ensure employees complete in an accurate and timely manner all intake documents, evaluation/assessment reports, progress reports, case notes, incident reports, attendance and other supporting documentation, and annual plans. Maintain up-to-date participant files in compliance with all regulatory bodies, funding partners, and CARF standards, etc. Maintain familiarity with corporate policies and procedures. Monitor employee’s compliance to organizational policies and procedures. Travel overnight for staff oversight, stakeholder meetings and conferences. Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Education, Marketing, or another related field required. One (1) year of related experience can be substituted for one year of education.
  • Two (2) years experience providing staff supervision and/or mentoring required.
  • Valid driver’s license and/or access to reliable transportation to perform work-related travel required.
  • Eligible drivers must have a good motor vehicle record (MVR).
  • Strategic leader with the ability to take initiative, develop new techniques to ensure positive outcomes, and inspire their team members to do their best everyday.
  • A well-organized and self-directed team player.
  • An excellent communicator and presenter.
  • Strong community engagement and collaboration skills and knowledge of community resources.

  • Supervisory and management skills and experience in an organization providing services to adults with disabilities.
  • Knowledge of behavior intervention principles.
  • Computer knowledge and experience leading to proficiency in software packages, presentation programs, and spreadsheet operations is required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to relate to people at all levels of an organization.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to write professional reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening as required.
  • Must be a resident of Craven or Carteret County, NC.

Nice To Haves

  • Three (3) years experience working with people with disabilities in a supported employment setting preferred.
  • Experience providing management, supervision, and/or mentoring of supported employment staff preferred.
  • Experience conducting community outreach and building partnerships with community organizations and employers preferred.
  • Mastery in State Vocational Rehabilitation and Medicaid guidelines related to Supported Employment.
