Job Description At Bose Automotive, we’re obsessed with redefining the driving experience, where our customers experience something special in every car we’ve touched. We are looking for a passionate, technically strong Portfolio Program Manager to join our rapidly growing, distributed team. You will work with some of the strongest and most capable groups within Bose automotive to help lead our investment decisions and prioritization within our product portfolio of amplifiers and acoustic products. We are currently looking for a Sustaining Engineering Program Manager for the Automotive Systems Business Unit, reporting into the Program Management Office. This is a key leadership role and has a broad reach across multiple product lines, hub locations, and development functions, beyond the primary focus of Project Management. This leader must possess very strong communication skills including executive interface, as well as broad business acumen to deliver short term and long-term activities and priorities within automotive business strategies. The role is responsible for managing the portfolio decisions and investments made within our in-production product portfolios, including cost reductions and continuing engineering (component & EOL replacement, supplier changes, SW bug fixes, etc.). Key skills: Strong written and verbal communication – regular presentations and facilitation of large groups can be expected Partner with Engineering, Procurement/Supply Chain, ESP’s and Manufacturing to identify sources of cost savings and move projects through evaluation and into development/launch Establish appropriate CIE/VAVE dashboards, stakeholder review/status meetings, and ensure teams are unblocked during execution Ability to analyze data and metrics to drive decision-making, including financial analysis and risk assessment Experience with software and hardware development lifecycles and process, including ASPICE compliance, Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies Knowledge of resource and cost estimation Strategic thinking to ensure our assets are optimized across the portfolio of projects and alignment with strategic business goals Ability to lead strategic decision making in a timely fashion to ensure the right work is being done on the correct timeline Motivational and collaborative approach to daily activities and tasks, ensuring team members are engaged and meeting project goals Experience/Educational requirements: Technical undergraduate degree in Software, Computer, Electrical or Systems Engineering is required Advanced degree in Engineering or Business is a plus Experience with business processes, finance, and project reporting is required 5+ years of experience in a technical role as a member of a cross-functional team is required Minimum of 8+ years of product development experience, with demonstrated experience in project/program management roles.
