About The Position

The PCS Research Program Manager works with the Patient Care Services (PCS) and PCS Research Departments to build and support a culture of inquiry within the organization. The Manager works in partnership with the Chief Nursing Executive (CNE)/Chief Operating Officer (COO) and the Director of PCS Research to implement, support or coordinate projects and programs that evaluate patient care outcomes, generate new knowledge and support the mission, vision, and strategic plans of the Department of Nursing, Allied Health and the organization. The Program Manager helps mentor PCS clinicians to submit research proposals to the Institutional Review Board (IRB) and to disseminate research results via abstracts, manuscripts, and presentations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing or allied health and 5-7 years experience
  • Master's Degree Nursing, allied health or related field and 3-5 years experience
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - MO, Registered Nurse Multistate License Missouri required upon hire
  • One of the following: Licensed RN - Kansas, Registered Nurse Multistate License Kansas required upon hire
  • RN Compact license for all states besides KS and MO
  • Refer to Nursing and Advanced Practice Provider Licensure and Certification policy for required Life Support Certifications Required Upon Hire

Nice To Haves

  • Specialty Certification (Nursing Administration or Research) Preferred Upon Hire

Responsibilities

  • Facilitates and manages PCS projects and programs to measure and evaluate patient care outcomes, staff professional development, and workforce trends.
  • Mentors PCS clinicians through the research process.
  • Provides support and expertise for PCS research education.
  • Assists with the management of the PCS Research Department budget.
