About The Position

The Program Manager is responsible for leading the cross-functional project management efforts for a new product launch in a new category. This role ensures effective collaboration, prioritization, and timely delivery of all launch activities across different departments, including marketing, regulatory, medical affairs, supply chain, and sales. The Program Manager will work closely with stakeholders to drive successful execution and alignment with business objectives.

Requirements

  • Ability to understand strategy and connect to details project plans
  • Execution focus to ensure that all aspects of the project are executed to the plan
  • Risk management skills to identify potential risks early and develop mitigation and communication plans to handle risk
  • Influencing without authority to lead team members toward a common project goal
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Life Science or a related field, PMP or similar certification preferred
  • 5+ years of project management, preferrable in med tech, life science or pharma launches
  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical markets, including regulatory and market access environments.
  • Strong organizational skills and experience managing across functions
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Cross-Functional Program Management: Lead and coordinate the activities of cross-functional teams (marketing, sales, regulatory, medical, and supply chain) to ensure alignment and timely execution of the product launch plan.
  • Launch Planning and Execution: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including timelines, deliverables, and key milestones, to ensure a successful launch of the new product in the designated category.
  • Prioritization and Resource Management: Work with functional leads to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and business goals.
  • Risk Management: Identify potential risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure proactive resolution of issues that could impact the launch timeline or project success.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications, providing regular updates to senior leadership and key stakeholders on project progress, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Budget and Performance Tracking: Monitor project budgets and financial performance, ensuring that all activities are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure that all aspects of the launch adhere to regulatory requirements and corporate quality standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Post-launch, evaluate the project’s success, document lessons learned, and implement process improvements for future product launches.
