Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering or related field
  • 5+ Years of Experience in increasing levels of responsibility within Program Management
  • 3-5 Years of Program/Project Management Experience
  • Prior experience required must have prior hands on experience within scheduling, Capacity Planning and production planning
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (Oracle, SAP, JD Edwards)
  • Experience in the Medical Device Industry strongly preferred
  • Advanced understanding of Program Management
  • Experience/knowledge of MRP/ERP systems, production scheduling, inventory management, and contract management and negotiation
  • Ability to work independently and with fellow team members
  • Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Excellent ability to analyze, think and communicate with well-supported data
  • Excellent problem-solving skills; the ability to ask the right questions, help frame logical conclusions and arrive at effective solutions
  • Data and Metric oriented for decision making
  • Advanced knowledge in MS Office and Excel competency
  • Performs light, non-strenuous administrative activities on a regular basis.
  • Occasionally lifts up to 20 lbs. and carries up to 10 lbs.; may involve minimal bending, pushing/pulling, crawling, climbing, balancing, or standing for extended periods.
  • Maintains manual dexterity to handle and manipulate small items effectively.
  • Requires visual acuity to distinguish colors, assess spatial relationships, and focus on fine details (e.g., using microscopes or similar equipment).
  • Minimal overnight travel (up to 10%) by land and air.

Nice To Haves

  • PMP Certificate in Program Management a plus
  • ORACLE experience is a plus, but not required

Responsibilities

  • Drive the sites Sales and Operations planning process to develop mid-to-long range operating plans, which drives the demand and capacity planning function
  • Assist in capital expenditure (CER) justification and approval working with peers within operations
  • Works with Viant Medical Customers and Customer Operations Management (COM) in the establishment and management of Kanban and Consigned Finished Goods Inventory programs, and ensures that proper Demand and Capacity Plans are implemented to support these requirements at their site
  • Management responsibilities for demand and capacity planning, production scheduling and execution, inventory, purchasing and supplier service level management. Responsible for integrating production schedules with business planning and forecasting.
  • Must be a driver of lean manufacturing and a lean culture
  • Responsible for inventory accuracy (raw, outside services, WIP and finished goods) and cycle count programs. Working closely with finance, maintaining appropriate inventory levels to meet customer demand while meeting Viant Medical financial objectives
  • Manage and support outside service providers to meet Viant Medical business requirements
  • Participate in daily lean huddles as well as, participate on project teams as required
  • Responsible for the planning systems for all raw materials, internal operations, subcontract operations and outside supporting services
  • Responsible for production order execution and working with operations to ensure that our on-time delivery, cycle time and fill- rate goals are met
  • Responsible for site procurement activities (raw materials, outside services (OSV) as well as expense items)
  • Supply Chain Sourcing – actively participates with Viant Management team on Strategic Supplier partnerships and agreements in support of Viant Medical Strategic Goals
  • Participates in Strategic Sourcing Commodity management on Supplier Relationship Management (Quarterly Business Reviews (QBR) with key suppliers for the site, as well as participates in Global Sourcing supplier relationship management (SRM) meetings as required
  • Participating in Supply Chain meetings within Viant Medical to foster cross site teamwork and development of our Global Supply Chain capabilities
  • Explore new technologies and processes, to reduce non-value-added procurement and planning activities
  • Participate in the contract review of all new products / processes
  • Perform other duties as needed
