Airbnb was born in 2007 when two hosts welcomed three guests to their San Francisco home, and has since grown to over 5 million hosts who have welcomed over 2 billion guest arrivals in almost every country across the globe. Every day, hosts offer unique stays and experiences that make it possible for guests to connect with communities in a more authentic way. The Community You Will Join: Airbnb’s public policy team aims to work closely with politicians, regulators, and legislators to educate them about Airbnb and the “sharing” or “collaborative” economy, highlight the significant social and economic impact our business has on local areas, and showcase best practices from around the world. We want policy makers to understand the regulatory challenges that affect our host community and find solutions that are good for cities and our thriving local communities. We structure our work in local campaign groups, drawing on a wide range of tools and campaign disciplines - from detailed policy work, through high-impact partnerships, proactive media relations, community organizing, digital platforms and content, polling, and innovative data science and research. The Difference You Will Make: The Program Manager will support the priorities of the US & Canada Campaigns Director as they execute strategy and initiatives in coordination with global and regional campaigns and cross functional partners.
