About The Position

Program Manager (Level K) Company: The Boeing Company Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Program Manager (Level K) to join our dynamic team in Huntsville, Alabama . Looking for a new challenge? Ready to lead a turbo charged team to a franchise win? We’re looking for a Front-Line Program Manager with energy, vision, and drive to lead a cross functional team in the pursuit, capture, and execution of a next generation missile interceptor. This role sits at the heart of innovation and leadership, guiding a multi-discipline team and suppliers through development planning, proposal generation, and program execution. You will be responsible for driving the team’s creative capability in support of the customer’s strategic mission. Engagements will include the US Army, senior company officials, and key suppliers to deliver a program that defines mission success. The successful candidate will have experience in multiple functions, government proposal development, leading dynamic teams, and strong communications skills. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. This position is for 1st shift.

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion
  • More than 3 years of experience in running a new business campaign as a capture team leader or capture manager
  • More than 3 years of experience working with capture teams
  • This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
  • This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • More than 5 years of experience in oversight of budget, development of quarterly EAC, program health metrics, earned value, and management of program critical path

Responsibilities

  • Manages employees performing business management activities in the area of Program Management
  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals
  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
  • Establishes Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) program goals and establishes a PMBP improvement plan
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees
