About The Position

The Intensive Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program Manager (IPR Manager) is responsible for the facilitation, operation and growth of the Successful Living IPR program using the IPR Boston Model as a basis for curriculum. This position will assist individuals 18 years and older having a chronic mental illness diagnosis to “Choose, Get, and Keep” a life changing goal in their “Living, Learning, Working, or Social” environments. Services are specifically developed to assist clients in choosing, attaining and maintaining critical life goals in varying aspects of their lives. The IPR Manager is responsible for the marketing of the IPR services for the recruitment of clients that fit the criteria for the program services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree.
  • IPR Certified training and maintain any other required IPR training – IPR certification will be provided if not previously attained.
  • Group and individual human service delivery experience.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Previous program management experience.
  • Pass multiple background checks, including but not limited to dependent adult/child abuse and criminal background check and driving records check.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and reliable, privately insured car, as well as insurability with agency insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • DIRECT INTERACTION WITH CLIENTS · Initial intake of IPR clients, which includes screening, securing funding and determining client readiness for IPR programming.
  • Administration of the functional assessment in the identification of critical skills and supports.
  • Meeting one to one with clients to work on identified goals.
  • Facilitation of group cohort programming for IPR participants.
  • Assist the individual in the development of a follow through plan that guides the individual through steps to keep their goals after discharge from the IPR services.
  • SERVICE DOCUMENTATION COMPLETION · Maintain all appropriate documentation to meet the IPR, Behavioral Health Iowa Administrative Code of Chapter 24 credentialing requirements and all state, federal, agency guidelines.
  • Timely submission of contact individual and group notes and collateral documentation.
  • Organize and maintain the client files and discharged files.
  • Other documentation as required.
  • Team and Agency Participation: · Attend a gency meetings as designated (Leadership Team; Strategic Planning; Budgeting…).
  • Collaboration with other departments and individuals in pursuit of IPR goals with cognizance of agency and other departmental objectives.
  • Participate in subcommittee(s) and any additional training as assigned.
  • Continually develop IPR practitioners towards becoming stronger professionals, cross-training across individual participants, cohorts and administrative duties.
  • Professional Responsibilities: · Develop and implement a marketing plan for the IPR program.
  • Provide IPR training for new staff and ongoing training for all IPR staff.
  • Maintain a minimum of participating clients in the IPR program to support 40-cohort-hours per week per FT IPR Practitioner and 20-cohort-hours per week for IPR Manager , with each client participant maintaining 4-8 billable hours per week in individual and group programming.
  • Assure consistency of client programming by attaining approval of clients’ Notification of Decisions (NOD’s), renewed every 60 days.
  • Maintain fiscal solvency and self-sustainability of IPR program by reviewing financials with supervisor at least monthly and addressing plans as needed while maintaining ethical standards and positive relations with clients, staff, funders and collaterals.
  • Develop connections with Managed Care Organizations, East Central Region and funders in facilitating client programming and funding.
  • Develop strong working knowledge of IPR funding procurement and process, including individual contacts with respective funders.
  • Establish cohorts of 1-5 individuals to meet multiple times weekly with IPR Practitioners and develop a weekly and monthly meeting and activity schedule.
  • Establish and maintain a consistent schedule with clients and negotiate needed adjustments.
  • Communicate in a timely manner with the client’s team of care providers.
  • Attend IPR Roundtable meetings quarterly and as otherwise scheduled.
  • Responsible for the day -to-day operations of the program, including fiscal accountability.
  • Responsible to maintain the required tenets of the IPR program.
  • Follow through with a consistent schedule and adherence to deadlines.
  • Maintain an Outlook calendar with a current schedule reflecting all appointments, cohorts and hours worked.
  • Complete all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
  • Meet with supervisor as weekly or as scheduled.
  • Treat all colleagues and clients with dignity and respect.
  • Prompt, professional and responsive communication with clients, fellow staff, supervisor, telephonic, electronic, written missive (in writing, face-to-face).
  • Follow all agency policies and procedures.
  • Dress, personal appearance, and manner of behavior must reflect a professional image.
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
  • Responsible for direct supervision of all IPR staff.
  • Other duties as required and/or assigned.
