The Manager, Programs Level III at Northrop Grumman will oversee the Armament Systems/Combat Systems organization in Plymouth, MN. This role focuses on delivering all contractual requirements on time and within budget while achieving technical specifications and fostering customer relationships. The manager will lead a team of program managers to ensure the successful execution of multiple production and product development programs, particularly in the Terrain Shaping and Precision Grenadier System product lines.

  • Lead a group of program managers and their cross-functional teams to achieve common program performance goals.
  • Ensure profitable and timely execution of multiple production programs.
  • Capture future international and domestic production programs.
  • Oversee the development and integration of the Precision Grenadier System, including weapon, ammunition, and fire control.
  • Manage cost, schedule, and technical performance of company programs or subsystems.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and changes.
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, business plans, and operating budgets.
  • Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
  • Identify program problems and execute solutions to meet financial objectives.
  • Direct the work of employees assigned to the programs from various areas.
  • Cultivate customer relationships to develop further opportunities.
  • Develop new business opportunities through strategic planning and proposal development.
  • Lead cross-functional Integrated Program Teams (IPT) to meet program objectives.
  • Measure and report program performance to stakeholders.
  • Deliver presentations to customers and executive management.
  • Establish design concepts and engineering efforts for product development.
  • Create and finalize the program Statement of Work.
  • Manage program requirements and ensure completion.
  • Develop and adhere to budget baselines using Earned Value Management (EVM).
  • Identify and manage program resources, including workforce planning.
  • Manage suppliers to meet program objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to internal processes and industry standards.
  • Conduct risk and opportunity management practices.
  • Bachelor's Degree with 10 years of experience or Master's Degree with 8 years of experience supporting U.S. Government contracts and customers or project management in other industries.
  • Three years of experience leading tasks on schedule and at cost as a project lead or cost account manager.
  • Five years of demonstrated success in leading teams or organizations to achieve common goals.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and capable of obtaining a Secret security clearance.
