About The Position

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Google Custom Silicon Operations (CSO) team is responsible for external manufacturing engagement and supplier management for foundry and manufacturing partners building custom silicon for Google consumer hardware products. The organization is responsible for providing agile, high-quality, and cost-effective external manufacturing technology and manufacturing solutions to enable Google to deliver product introduction and ramp on time. This includes foundry/OSAT sourcing, supplier management, planning and procurement, and execution of development and manufacturing operations with suppliers in partnership with Google engineering. It also includes strategy development and orchestration with key stakeholders to shape the supply ecosystem for better partnership, capacity flexibility, high quality, business continuity, and cost effectiveness. The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in semiconductor NPI planning, supply chain planning, or demand forecasting.
  • Experience in semiconductor project management.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with operations management.
  • Ability to influence and communicate cross-functionally with management with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with CSO, engineering, and Pixel teams to ensure on-time delivery of engineering samples and MP units, meeting strict schedule requirements.
  • Manage foundry and OSAT milestones. Schedule wafer starts, monitor inline production, and issue POs, assembly work orders, and lot handling notifications.
  • Collaborate with silicon fulfillment to oversee dispatching, expediting, and tracking. Conduct supplier visits and resolve escalations to minimize disruptions.
  • Leverage predictive analytics and scenario planning to drive demand forecasting, manage wafer release and ramp-up, define lifecycle strategies, and orchestrate EOL ramp-downs.
  • Establish KPI dashboards, enable scenario planning, and deliver clear executive communications on supply risks.
