About The Position

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Spares team is focused on the sourcing, planning, positioning, and delivery of critical spares to meet maintenance and repair needs for Google Cloud's electrical and cooling infrastructure. This team is responsible for delivering critical spares within their service level commitments while balancing inventory levels to achieve an optimal cost to serve. We are seeking a program management professional to manage our supply chain for mechanical commodities within the data center space. In this role, you will responsible for building a scalable, and resilient supply chain for key mechanical systems, including cooling solutions and power generation equipment from leading global suppliers. You will be responsible for developing and executing sourcing strategies, ensuring supply continuity, and fostering strong partnerships with industry-leading original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). You will identify and mitigate supply chain risks, discuss favorable commercial and supply agreements, and drive operational excellence. You will work with Engineering, Data Center Operations, and Global Commodity Management teams to ensure our mechanical infrastructure can scale to meet the rapidly growing demands of our data center fleet. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $126,000-$181,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience in spares planning, supply chain planning, sourcing, or spares lifecycle management.

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience working with major OEMs of industrial-scale power generation or cooling systems.
  • Understanding of supply chain fundamentals and operational performance metrics.
  • Ability to work effectively as an individual contributor in a changing, cross-functional environment.
  • Excellent communication, discussion, and people management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute end-to-end sourcing strategies for mechanical commodities that align with the organization's technical requirements and business objectives.
  • Lead the supplier selection and operational reviews. Discuss and manage master supply agreements, statements of work, and other critical commercial agreements to secure supply and manage costs.
  • Drive supplier relationship management by conducting regular operational and business reviews with key partners to monitor performance, address issues, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Create and implement new processes centered around supply planning, risk mitigation, and procurement operations to optimize the supply chain, reduce cycle times, and ensure material availability.
  • Manage the life cycle of products and components, working with suppliers to navigate changes, updates, and end-of-life transitions.
