About The Position

The primary objective of this role is to execute WM's National Account program with large clients across multiple Areas. The Program Manager I, National Accounts is responsible for building deep and lasting relationships with each client by harnessing the resources of WM's vast network. The role is accountable to grow and maintain existing revenue while maintaining the quality of the book of business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration or similar area of study, or in lieu of degree,
  • High School Diploma GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant work experience.
  • 5 years of related experience (in addition to education requirement).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the National Account Manager (NAM) in support of new program initiatives including right sizing, renewals, growth, acquisitions, mergers and the addition of new services.
  • Drive profitable new revenue by proposing client and site-specific solutions.
  • Oversee contract compliance.
  • Execute CPI increases across client book of business where contractually allowed.
  • Participate in launch, renewal and de-implementation activities related to clients within the assigned book of business.
  • Educate clients on local regulatory compliance trends and requirements (e.g., mandatory recycling.)
  • Run report on cost avoidance items, service and cost efficiencies and present them to clients.
  • Represent the brand with the highest integrity.
  • Lead and collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure accounts receivable (A/R) are current to contract terms.
  • Act as a client resource to escalate and address operational level activities including billing, set-up and service requests.
  • Use in-depth knowledge of internal organizational structure, financial performance, and plant specific trends for assigned clients.
  • Execute client specific reporting and complete quarterly score cards.
  • Support the preparation of cost savings, recycling research and presentations.
  • Become well versed with WM’s integrated services: solid, special, hazardous, universal, medical, recycling (traditional and non-traditional) beneficial reuse, Lamptracker, etc.)
  • Perform site evaluations with local teams when necessary.
  • Monitor news associated with local facilities to proactively address client requirements.
  • Serves as a liaison between team members, SBS departments and functional area management for the NAM
