The position is responsible for the coordination of the Fall Welcome program, which includes planning and implementing new student orientation. The role involves overseeing the Fall Welcome Week program, coordinating with international student programs, and ensuring that new international students are included in the programming. The individual will set learning outcomes, create assessment tools, and provide budget oversight for all program expenses. Collaboration with campus partners to support student transition and success is essential, along with developing initiatives for second-year students. The position also includes organizing student retreats, supporting new student orientation planning, contributing to training for Orientation Student Leaders, and assisting with transfer student initiatives. The role requires maintaining communication plans and utilizing customer relationship management software to communicate with students and produce reports, as well as providing technical oversight related to Fall Welcome and Orientation. Additionally, the position involves hiring, training, evaluating, and supervising student employees.

  • Plan, execute, and assess the Fall Welcome Week program.
  • Coordinate with international student programs to include new international students in programming.

  • Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited institution.
  • Two years' relevant experience.
  • Supervisory or lead experience.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Knowledge and experience working in a higher education environment.
  • Experience in planning and implementing programs and conducting program evaluations.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to work with a diverse population.
  • Proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and presentation software.
  • Ability to learn and utilize the institution's technology platforms.
  • Ability to work irregular shifts and extended hours, including evenings and weekends.
