About The Position

The Program Manager for the Alaska Energy Authority's Rural Programs manages the Alaska Energy Authority's renewable energy and energy efficiency (REEE) programs and projects under the general guidance of the Department Director. This role involves providing support and guidance to internal staff and external stakeholders on energy technology and offering technical assistance in developing grant applications for funding opportunities. The Program Manager is responsible for managing the planning, design, and construction of energy projects throughout Alaska. This position requires complex and diverse program management skills, in-depth knowledge of the agency programs, and a good working relationship with upper management. The role exercises independent judgment on significant matters regarding AEA's REEE programs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and advanced training in engineering or a related field.
• 5 years of experience in project/program management and construction.
• Strong preference for candidates with a professional engineering license in the State of Alaska.
• Preference for candidates currently certified as Project Management Professionals (PMP).
