General Motors
5d$140,100 - $186,700Hybrid

About The Position

We are seeking a Program Manager of Executive Intelligence to scale the Market Intelligence and Executive Research function at General Motors. This is a high-altitude change management and "build" position designed to extend the reach and vision of the Head of Market Intelligence. You will be responsible for solving the fragmentation of our current insights, creating a unified ecosystem where executive research and competitor moves are contextualized, centralized, and delivered at scale. You will provide the intellectual horsepower to pressure-test assumptions, simplify complex workflows, and build the scaffolding that allows our intelligence team to operate with maximum efficiency. You must be comfortable in the "white space," navigating ambiguity with a sharp behavioral understanding of how to drive adoption across GM Strategy and HR leadership. What's in It for You? You will act as a force multiplier for the Head of Market Intelligence, shaping how GM understands its competitive landscape and executive talent markets.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in Program Management, Executive Research, Strategic Consulting, or a specialized Research Analyst role.
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling a new function or process within a large, complex organization.
  • Experience with "Productizing" information—taking raw data and turning it into a structured, scalable asset.

Nice To Haves

  • Behavioral Sharpness: Deep understanding of organizational behavior and change management to drive the "how" and "why" of new process adoption.
  • Strategic Altitude: Ability to operate at a high level of strategy while maintaining precision in the execution of the "scaffolding."
  • Ownership Mindset: An inquisitive nature that refuses to accept "that's how we've always done it" and seeks to improve operations constantly.
  • Intellectual Horsepower: Ability to grasp complex business problems quickly and connect dots across disparate data points.

Responsibilities

  • Architect the Scaffolding: Define and build the core methodology for how Executive Intelligence is gathered, stored, and distributed across GM to ensure the team can scale safely and efficiently.
  • Drive Change Management: Act as the primary lead for shifting how stakeholders consume intelligence, moving from fragmented conversations to a centralized, high-impact model.
  • Force Multiplier for Leadership: Serve as a strategic partner to the Head of Market Intelligence; pressure-test assumptions, challenge current thinking, and "think bigger" to evolve the function.
  • Cross-Functional Connectivity: Confine and deepen relationships with Talent Management, HR People Leadership, Talent Acquisition, Competitor Insights, and GM Strategy to ensure intelligence is aligned with business needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Remove friction from research workflows and ensure we are "Right, A Lot" in our strategic recommendations.
  • Ambiguity Management: Navigate the "build phase" of this brand-new function, defining milestones and prioritizing competing demands with precision.

Benefits

  • GM offers a variety of health and wellbeing benefit programs.
  • Benefit options include medical, dental, vision, Health Savings Account, Flexible Spending Accounts, retirement savings plan, sickness and accident benefits, life insurance, paid vacation & holidays, tuition assistance programs, employee assistance program, GM vehicle discounts and more.
