About The Position

Millennium is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead the execution of high-visibility, high-complexity initiatives that span across multiple development teams and business functions with the Equities Trading Technology department. This role is critical in driving the successful delivery of strategic projects and programs that align with organizational priorities, ensuring seamless coordination, value delivery, and stakeholder alignment. As a Program Manager, you will operate at both the strategic and tactical levels. You will define project or program objectives, establish success criteria, and develop comprehensive roadmaps to guide execution. While some initiatives may involve managing interconnected projects within a program, others will require you to focus on a single, highly complex project that spans multiple applications. In these cases, you will take ownership of hands-on project management responsibilities, diving deep into the details to ensure successful delivery. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to navigate ambiguity, and a strong aptitude for stakeholder management. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including BAPMs, technical leads, and operations to deliver impactful outcomes.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in project or program management, with a proven track record of delivering high-complexity software initiatives.
  • Requires 3+ years’ experience in the financial services industry, preferably with Equities, Futures, FX, Options and electronic trading.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align diverse teams across regions.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align project or program goals with organizational objectives.
  • Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and interdependencies.
  • Experience tracking KPIs, analyzing resource allocation, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Define the vision, objectives, and success criteria for projects and programs in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Ensure alignment between project or program goals and departmental strategy.
  • Act as the primary liaison between stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment on expectations.
  • Provide regular updates on progress, risks, and outcomes to executives and other key stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, and dependencies, for both programs and standalone projects.
  • Lead the execution of high-complexity, high-visibility projects that span multiple development teams and business functions.
  • Plug into individual application prioritization processes ensuring delivery is aligned across engineering teams.
  • Identify and manage interdependencies between teams and workstreams.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate risks that could impact the success of projects or programs.
  • Establish and maintain governance structures to ensure accountability and transparency.
  • Dive deep into specific projects when necessary, taking on hands-on project management responsibilities to ensure successful delivery.
  • Manage competing priorities across stakeholders and teams, ensuring alignment and timely delivery of results.
