Nationwide IT Services (NIS) is seeking a Program Manager – Deputy to support day-to-day program execution for a federal government customer. The Deputy Program Manager assists the Program Manager in planning, coordinating, and overseeing technical and administrative activities to ensure contract requirements are met on time, within scope, and within budget. This role serves as the primary backup to the Program Manager and plays a key role in customer engagement, team coordination, and performance monitoring.

  • Support the Program Manager in overall program planning, execution, and reporting
  • Coordinate technical, operational, and administrative activities across project teams
  • Assist with schedule management, risk identification, and issue resolution
  • Monitor task performance to ensure compliance with contract requirements and SLAs
  • Prepare and contribute to program status reports, briefings, and deliverables
  • Track milestones, action items, and deliverables across all program areas
  • Serve as an alternate point of contact for the government customer when required
  • Support subcontractor coordination and performance monitoring
  • Assist with staffing coordination, onboarding, and workforce management
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, government regulations, and security requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Engineering, IT, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience supporting federal IT or technical programs
  • Demonstrated experience in project or program coordination
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preparing reports, schedules, and briefings for government customers
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Active Secret clearance (or ability to obtain)
  • Prior experience as a Deputy Program Manager or Senior Project Manager
  • Experience supporting DoD or other federal agencies
  • Familiarity with IT services, network operations, or systems engineering programs
  • PMP, CAPM, or other project management certification
  • Experience with contract vehicles and task order management
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams
