We are looking for a data-driven Program Manager to become an integral part of our Delivery Central Safety team. Reporting directly to the Director of Delivery Safety, you will work in close collaboration with Safety Operations, Safety & G/R Product teams, Data Science, Policy, and Legal teams. Your core mission will be to identify and mitigate unique risks within the Uber Eats delivery environment through the development of data-driven safety solutions. Key areas of focus will include managing prohibited/restricted items, enhancing courier safety, and helping to ensure compliance with alcohol regulations. As a pivotal figure on our team, you will be tasked with spotting emerging risks, quantifying the business impact of those risks, defining safety policies, and implementing effective interventions. Your work will be crucial in improving safety outcomes for customers, merchants and delivery partners, thereby enhancing our ability to innovate and maintain safety standards across the Uber Eats platform. This role is a blend of strategy, program management, and data science, demanding strong cross-functional collaboration, adeptness at regional calibration, and a commitment to continuous improvement through robust analytics and program execution. Ideal candidates will have a background in safety or risk management, proficiency in handling large datasets, ability to scale textual analysis and experience in developing business or operational strategies from the ground up.
