About The Position

The National Children’s Advocacy Center (NCAC) is seeking a Program Manager, Chapter Development, to join our mission—to champion and strengthen the global response to child abuse. The Chapter Development Program Manager will develop and implement training and technical assistance projects to support Children’s Advocacy Centers (CAC) and State Chapters in the Southern Region. The Program Manager will identify, develop, and deliver high-level learning experiences, resources, and publications to support the functioning of State Chapters within the Southern Region. This is a unique role that requires relationship-building, facilitative skills, and strategic thinking. The Department of Justice – Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention provides funding for this position. Continued employment is contingent upon the availability of grant funding for the project by the Department of Justice.

  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, public administration, or another related field
  • Minimum of five years of experience with State Chapter organizations or statewide membership organizations
  • Minimum of three years of recent leadership experience in the CAC movement
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license.

  • Prefer significant experience designing and providing technical assistance and training

  • Prefer experience in network coordination and virtual/in-person/blended learning experiences

Responsibilities

  • Meeting with a colleague to design a new program for Chapter staff
  • Facilitating a networking conversation between Chapter leaders
  • Co-facilitating a strategic planning session with a Chapter’s Board of Directors and executive leadership
  • Reviewing research, survey results, or documentation and generating reports/presentations
  • Developing targeted strategies to assist State Chapters in program development, member services, and data needs with other members of the SRCAC team
  • Identifying unmet needs and supporting the identification and implementation of promising practices related to State Chapter programming
  • Providing technical assistance via phone/video consultations and onsite.
  • Providing training via webinars, workshops at national and state conferences, and other in-person opportunities.
  • Draft publications, blog posts, and other resource materials to fill gaps in training and support of State Chapters in coordination with the Program Manager, Communication and Instructional Design
  • Out-of-state travel, one to two times per month
