About The Position

Join our Program Management Office (PMO) in Menomonee Falls, WI! This is a paid summer college intern opportunity in our PMO organization. PMO interns work closely with and assist staff with various assignments. The summer intern program consists of 10-12 weeks of hands-on, real world experience in a career development environment. Participation in the intern program gives preference for future semesters as an intern/co-op within DRS Naval Power Systems. A typical student will participate in 2+ semesters as an intern/co-op at DRS throughout their junior and senior years. Guess what? Our summer interns get to take advantage of our 9/80 schedule which allows for every other Friday off AND you can participate in the 401(K) with our generous company match!

Requirements

  • Current accredited college or university enrollment; making progress towards an undergraduate degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or a related field
  • Grade point average of 3.0 or above
  • Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively in a team-oriented environment
  • Ability to successfully interact with other professionals and excited to learn more about the activities at a defense contractor!
  • U.S. Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out basic work instructions that will help in understanding the fundamentals of the Company and allow you to learn new things
  • Gather and assemble data with and for Program Managers and the Program Management team
  • Observe customer requirements and learn more about how DRS supports the customer and our Navy partners
  • May be required to help in research in a particular field
  • Perform a wide variety of tasks to gain familiarity with the Programs staff, methods, programs and practices
  • Work cross-functionally to understand how program activity and our customers impact our organization and facility
