About The Position

We’re working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion. Join our team of problem solvers as we add new chapters to the history of spaceflight! This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a single-configuration, heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle capable of routinely carrying people and payloads to low-Earth orbit, geostationary transfer orbit, cislunar, and beyond. Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable. The Program Management Analyst for New Glenn will support the development, production, and operations of Blue Origin's New Glenn launch systems. This role will assist in maintaining operational business rhythms and tools that drive engineering completion, procurement tracking, and build velocity to meet program needs. The Analyst will work with program management, data analytics, and business operations teams to help drive progress towards business unit objectives, while developing a strong foundation in aerospace program management.

Requirements

  • Engineering degree (e.g., Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field).
  • 0-2 years of professional experience (internships or co-ops in aerospace or technical fields highly valued).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Familiarity with project management concepts and tools; ability to translate conceptual needs or pain points into a work plan and manage/track to closure
  • Experience with data analysis and visualization.
  • Familiarity with GenAI tools and models, including prompt engineering and utilization of agents, with the ability to apply AI solutions to enhance program management activities, communications, data analysis, and reporting workflows.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Basic understanding of aerospace development cycles and manufacturing processes.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Experience with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira).
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Previous internship or academic project experience in aerospace or a related technical field.
  • Demonstrated interest in space exploration and launch systems.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies.
  • Experience with programming languages like Python or R for data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Program Execution Support: Support the execution of the New Glenn program by analyzing data, preparing reports, and tracking progress against objectives.
  • Metrics and Analysis: Collect and analyze program data to help measure performance against established KPIs and metrics.
  • Schedule and Cost Tracking: Assist in developing and maintaining program schedules and cost tracking tools.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for process optimization and build velocity improvements through data analysis.
  • Seating Management: Coordinate and optimize seating arrangements for the New Glenn team, accounting for cross-functional collaboration needs, team adjacencies, and growth planning.
  • Internal Communications Management: Develop and implement effective communication strategies across the New Glenn business unit, including regular updates, newsletters, and information sharing platforms to ensure alignment and transparency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with various teams including engineering, operations, finance, and supply chain to gather information and coordinate activities.
  • Reporting: Create dashboards, presentations, and reports that provide clear insights into program status for various stakeholders.
  • Tool Development: Support the improvement and implementation of project management tools, helping to incorporate new technologies including AI and automation.
