About The Position

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Program Management Analyst (Journeyman) for support to the Strike Planning and Execution Systems Program Office (PMA-281) at Patuxent River Naval Air Station in Lexington Park, MD. The candidate will be a Program Scheduler for the Collaborative Mission Planning Continuum (CMPC) Integrated Product Team (IPT) supporting the next generation of naval aircraft mission planning system. PMA-281 is responsible for the acquisition and life cycle management of a range of mission planning, control systems and execution tools that are developed and integrated in partnership with other NAVAIR program offices, other Services, and foreign nation customers/partners. Local telework is available for this position and the candidate must be available to work on-site (as required) for collaboration across CMPC team. The selected candidate will be responsible for but not limited to: Gather and process schedule inputs and updates from key stakeholders, analyze plans including budgets, to develop or update schedules, including integrated master schedules Horizontally collaborate across all Type/Model/Series aircraft’s Mission Planning Environment schedules Proficient at building a detailed schedule from various Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), timelines, and technology roadmaps Evaluate program schedules for realism with regards to engineering, implementation, installation, test events, milestones, and key events Meet project requirements, evaluate projects, programs, and cross program dependencies Tracks program/project status and schedules. Leverage schedule data to generate and provide metrics to CMPC IPT, including critical path analysis Provide analysis and status reports (oral and written) to CMPC IPT, including technical leads, program management officials, and external entities Participate in and support regular risk assessment activities, Earned Value Management (EVM) activities, and baseline reviews Perform other schedule related activities as directed

Requirements

  • Business, Management, Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree from an accredited college or university.
  • ALLOWABLE SUBSTITUTION: Business, Management, Technical or Scientific AS or AA degree from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience OR an additional six (6) years of recent and relevant experience
  • At least four (4) years of recent and relevant experience in a program management, technical or business analysis discipline; and included in the four (4) years there must be two (2) years of recent and relevant experience in technical efforts supporting major weapon systems and components development.
  • Must have experience processing program acquisition, funding, and contract documentation for military programs.
  • Demonstrated experience in program/project management support, earned value management, and scheduling are required.
  • Knowledge of the DoD Acquisition Lifecycle and Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience with work breakdown structures, resource loaded schedules, and critical path analysis
  • Proficiency at building a program schedule in Microsoft Project
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, to include Microsoft Project, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • SECRET Security Clearance
  • U.S. Citizen
