About The Position

SAS SME Initiative aims to leverage the expertise of program finance and earned value experts to enhance program finance professionals’ knowledge through being an earned value resource, drive innovation, and support strategic goals through targeted mentorship, training, and advisory services. Job Description: Knowledge Sharing: Facilitate the transfer of specialized knowledge and skills for Program Finance Analysts. Innovation and Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement through expert insights. Professional Development: Enhance the capabilities and career growth of employees through mentorship and training. Strategic Support: Provide expert advice to support strategic decision-making and project success. Key components include: Expert Panels: Assemble panels of SMEs to provide guidance on specific topics and strategic initiatives. Training Workshops: Conduct workshops and study halls led by SMEs on relevant topics and skills. Advisory Services: Offer consulting services from SMEs to support specific program challenges and assist in initial baseline setup. Knowledge Repository: Create a centralized repository of expert insights, best practices, and resources. Collaboration: Work in partnership with SAS/Corporate PMX, Other Segment SMEs, Program Tools development/rollout, Policy updates, Program Finance University, other functions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 19 years of prior related experience.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge in Finance program interface for proposals, billings, cost control and other financial controls.
  • Experience in the managing of finance in the defense and aerospace industry.
  • Working knowledge of Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations.
  • Experience in EVMS and/or Microsoft Project a plus.
  • Ability to work with management and other functional areas in a fast-paced multiple project environment with changing priorities.
