The ideal candidate will be fluent in two or more languages, including one that supports the needs of the program and community. Under supervision of the Program Eligibility & Contracts Supervisor, provides administrative and analytical support for the Early Head Start, Head Start, and State Child Development Programs. This position is most suited to staff who enjoy paperwork, are detailed oriented, can work accurately with numbers, and have the ability to get along well with the public. This position requires technological skills, and the ability to use Excel, Google Suite, PowerPoint, and Word. The ability to organize and work with minimum supervision is essential. What we are seeking in the ideal candidate: Combination of related education and/or experience equal to two years performing administrative functions, case management, eligibility determinations, and/or related field. One of the years must be experience working as a Program Eligibility Specialist I or experience equivalent to performing eligibility determinations under a California Department of Education regulation. Must be fluent in two or more languages, including one that supports the needs of the program and community. Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree. As a program Eligibility Analyst you will: Review, verify, and audit monthly attendance and parent fee reports for compliance with internal policies and State, licensing, and Federal regulations Perform accurate data entry and maintenance in NOHO and ChildPlus, including attendance, parent payments, credits, fee adjustments, and waitlist applications Ensure consistency between paper documentation and electronic records and resolve discrepancies Track error trends, delinquent parent fees, and payment plans and prepare required monthly and quarterly reports Prepare and submit reimbursement requests and support approval processes Collaborate with Program Eligibility Specialists (PES), supervisors, and the Finance department to resolve issues and respond to inquiries Support enrollment, waitlist, recruitment, outreach, and social media activities as assigned Assist with training, administrative functions, meetings, safety practices, and other duties as needed Please note this job advertisement is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
