About The Position

Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) is seeking an innovation ecosystem rock star to manage leading TAG Education Collaborative’s programs (TAG-Ed). The Program Director will drive programs and partnerships to connect our members and partners with entrepreneurs and future technologists in our workforce. The director will guide and implement the strategy to grow engagement and enhance STEM Education, workforce development, and entrepreneurial across Georgia’s technology community, along with our global partners to enhance equitable access. If you are a growth-oriented connector, willing to experiment and take risks, and are a revenue and customer-focused leader, then this is the right role for you. This team member is responsible for managing TAG-Ed’s strategy and long-term mission and goals. There is a great opportunity for the technology workforce to better represent our diverse community. This role will engage the community to grow programs that are designed to offer workforce and professional development, Registered Tech apprenticeships, mentoring and through programs that Georgians and our global partners and connect tech entrepreneurs with resources and opportunities to achieve their business goals. Success will be measured by the advancement of innovative workforce in the technology community and metrics that indicate increasing access and equity for all people in the tech sector. A Day in the Life... You'll connect our corporate members with opportunities to mentor entrepreneurs, support scholarships and identify rising stars for workforce and personal development programs You’ll work with our volunteer leadership and members to make sure that TAG policies and guidelines for inclusion and diversity are being met, allowing for creativity and flexibility to meet the spirit of the program. You’ll act as a liaison to representatives from member companies and designated civic and other organizations that have committed to partner with TAG-Ed. You’ll track success metrics and use data, analytics and KPIs to guide decision-making, priorities, and budget. Understand TAG ideal persona and CRM to develop brand/content strategy and execution points that resonate You'll constantly look for new channels to unlock opportunities through a data-driven approach to achieve our TAG-Ed’s mission. Develop strategic partnerships to multiply TAG’s impact Collaborate with sales and marketing to create compelling content and social engagement (blogs, email/landing page copy, white papers, supporting assets, collateral, etc.) that resonate with our customer and members

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of TAG-Ed’s mission and goals and how they create a value proposition for participants and investors
  • Ability to sustain and grow revenue through programs, campaigns, and grant proposals
  • Ability and experience working in multi-cultural environments
  • Understanding entrepreneurs needs and matching them to resources available
  • Strong operations skillset, volunteer management and motivation
  • How to scale opportunities to match the needs of many
  • Developing the digital tactics/systems to be used to achieve our goals where applicable
  • Knowledge of the technologies that should be applied to put TAG at the forefront of collaboration connectedness
  • Hard-working self-starter able to navigate a fast-paced environment while still providing attention to detail and approaching tasks conscientiously
  • A passion for staying current on future marketing trends and being involved in the local community
  • Excellent Connector
  • Strong personal communication and creating connections are critical
  • Strong analytical skills and data skills to develop actionable insights and plans
  • Experience writing B2B content (social media, blogs)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 3+ years community building, specifically entrepreneurs, and technology
  • BA or BS Degree
  • Strong data/analytical skills
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Self-starter, capable of taking initiative
  • Manage detailed record keeping requiring extensive computer knowledge and office skills, including proficiency in the use of MS Outlook, calendar and email, MS Word, and MS Excel, and the ability to learn the membership database and task management system
  • Willing to work flexible hours including evenings and some weekends
  • Some travel, mostly within Georgia, will be required
  • Flexible work location – must live in metro Atlanta and be on location for events and in-person meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Mentoring and Developing Talent and Entrepreneurs
  • Create process maps and project plans for entrepreneur mentorship and connections.
  • Attend many evening events (we do over 150 annually) and some travel statewide
  • Other duties as assigned
