About The Position

The Program Director provides overall leadership and operational responsibility for the Wayside Trauma Intervention Services, including all related program development/monitoring, training, fiscal, staffing, and supervisory responsibilities. TIS’ programming includes prevention and outreach, counseling and referral services, and administration of the Blackstone Valley Rape Crisis Hotline. The program includes individual supportive counseling, groups, medical and legal advocacy, as well as community outreach and education. The Program Director helps to ensure that TIS is embedded and integrated into the Milford Site and provides leadership across all service models.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or another related human services field.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in direct service with children, adolescents, and families.
  • Significant knowledge of, and experience with, Domestic Violence, Rape Crisis, and Homicide Bereavement interventions as well as victim services resources and processes.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership skills that align with Agency’s mission, philosophy, and core values.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of Wayside Trauma Intervention Services, ensuring effective service delivery, quality, staffing and record-keeping.
  • Develop and monitor various programs, ensuring programs are in line with our contracts and that all staff are working to full potential.
  • Oversee the financials for all grants and contracts, including grant writing and managing annual budgets.
  • Serve as Manager or Program Director/Principal Investigator for federal and state grants.
  • Function as primary liaison to funders including MA Department of Public Health and MOVA for budgetary and programmatic issues where needed; attend funder meetings and related events.
  • Overall oversight of staffing, including direct supervision of staff.
  • Provide adequate supervision on a weekly (or other appropriate) schedule, ensuring that all staff have appropriate training and skills.
  • Build and maintain a positive agency presence in the community through events, collaborations, and public relations efforts.
  • Oversee service delivery reports and other billing mechanisms, ensuring compliance with all grant and program guidelines.
  • Hire staff as needed, follow agency policies, and supervise both staff as well as interns (as needed).
  • Hire and participate in oversight of subcontractors as needed.
  • Maintain professional licensure and participate in all required agency training.
  • Help foster a supportive and inclusive culture for all site staff.
  • Supervising Community Services Staff (as directed by Site Director).
  • Participating on agency committees (as directed by Site Director).
  • Providing training and consultation to Milford and Wayside staff (as directed by Site Director).
