SUMMARY: The Program Director provides strategic leadership and oversight for the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Training Institute. This role ensures that programs align with organizational goals, meet contractual obligations, and deliver measurable impact to customer organizations and the community. The Program Director supervises the Program Manager and Trainer, as well as additional staff as needed, and serves as the primary liaison with senior leadership, external partners, and stakeholders. The Director is responsible for business development, program innovation, staff development, and maintaining high standards of professional and ethical conduct. ESSENTIAL DUTIES: Strategic Leadership & Oversight: Provide vision and direction for the EAP and Training Institute to ensure alignment with organizational mission and HR strategies. Supervise the Program Manager and Trainer, as well as potential new staff, ensuring effective performance management, coaching, and professional development. Establish program goals, key performance indicators, and evaluation metrics to measure success. Ensure compliance with all contractual, regulatory, and accreditation standards. Business Development & Partnerships: Lead efforts to identify, pursue, and secure new contracts and partnerships for EAP and training services. Represent the organization in high-level networking, conferences, and community events to expand visibility and influence. Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Director to align program growth with workforce planning and organizational needs. Program & Training Oversight: Oversee the design, delivery, and evaluation of training programs to ensure relevance, quality, and impact. Ensure the training library is continuously updated with evidence-based content and best practices. Guide the Program Manager in developing innovative training and wellness initiatives tailored to customer needs. Staff Development & Supervision: Recruit, onboard, and mentor new staff to support program expansion. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department. Conduct regular supervision meetings, performance reviews, and professional development planning. EAP Services Oversight: Ensure EAP services meet contractual obligations and exceed client expectations. Provide consultation to organizations on workplace culture, wellness, and employee development strategies. Oversee the creation of resources and content addressing workplace challenges and global events impacting employees. Administration & Reporting: Prepare and submit program reports to senior leadership and stakeholders in a timely manner. Manage departmental budgets, resource allocation, and operational planning. Ensure customer satisfaction through proactive communication and resolution of concerns. Measurement Of Success: Achievement of program growth targets and expansion of EAP and Training Institute contracts. Positive feedback from clients, staff, and training participants. Timely and accurate reporting to stakeholders. High staff engagement, retention, and professional development outcomes. OTHER DUTIES: Attend scheduled staff meetings, supervision, and on-going training. All required trainings, certifications, and licensure must be kept current in accordance with applicable licensing and accreditation regulations and standards. Respect the privacy of clients and hold in confidence all information obtained during the client’s treatment. All client-related documents should be handled in accordance with Agency guidelines on confidential material. Maintain high standards of ethical and professional conduct and adheres to Agency policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned by management.
