About The Position

Cleveland University-Kansas City's College of Health Science is accepting applications for a Program Director position for an online master's in healthcare administration program. The Program Director, working in-person at our Overland Park, KS campus, will perform both instructional and supervisory duties, and be responsible for providing leadership for the program. Program content includes coursework in six areas as they apply to healthcare: healthcare systems and structure; leadership; operations - legal, ethical, and compliance; business principles - managing people and marketing; financial planning and management; and data analytics/IT. With courses beginning in the Fall 2026 term, a start date in the spring and not later than June 1, 2026 is planned.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in healthcare administration or closely related field from a regionally accredited institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education
  • Five years related experience teaching within a higher education institution and/or a combination of higher education experience and related job experience in healthcare administration.

Responsibilities

  • Academic Leadership. Collaborate and communicate with other academic leaders within and across schools.
  • Accreditation and Compliance. Maintain current knowledge regarding legal and regulatory requirements. Prepare, maintain, and submit records and reports to meet accreditation and university needs in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Campus / Community Relations. Participate in functions and activities that advance the mission, values and vision of the program and university.
  • Admissions and Student Recruitment. Work with the Admissions department in identifying potential students/sources, participating in scheduled recruitment activities, and providing guidance for messaging and communication with prospective students.
  • Curriculum Management. Oversee and participate in curriculum review, evaluation, and assessment.
  • Fiscal Oversight. Provide recommendations and justifications for annual budget development and ensure expenditures are within the allocated budget.
  • Instruction and Classroom Management. Perform instructional duties as assigned and in accordance with university standards.
  • Personnel Management. Assign faculty courseload. Provide supervision, mentoring, and assistance with evaluation of program faculty. Engage in faculty development to maintain and develop technical and professional skills.
  • Program Assessment. Oversee programmatic data collection, analysis, and implementation of appropriate curricular and programmatic changes. Support university and college strategic plans.
  • Miscellaneous. Perform additional tasks as needed and/or requested.
