About The Position

The Program Director manages the delivery of services to residents within the policies and guidelines of Volunteers of America. Empower Residence is a 24/7 transitional housing program for women, operating under HRA/DSS guidelines. As an enhanced shelter, we support residents facing challenges such as mental health needs, substance use, unemployment, and poverty. Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and five years relevant experience, with three years supervisory experience
• Requires a demonstrated ability to manage social service programs serving diverse client populations with substantial budget responsibility.
• A reasonable combination of skills in the following areas: the design, operational oversight and evaluation of program services, personnel management, budget development and control, property management, public relations and governmental relations.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s in Social Worker or other related degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and market program services and assist with writing RFPs.
• Manage program services for quality and consistency.
• Manage program personnel.
• Manage fiscal operations – i.e., overtime expenses.
• Manage program facilities.
• Manage community and governmental relations.
