About The Position

OUC – The Reliable One, an industry leader and the second-largest municipal utility in Florida, is offering an internship program in the Marketing & New Products division. The OUC Internship Program is dedicated to providing students with real-world, hands-on experience by partnering with energy leaders and experienced professionals, while bringing new and out-of-the-box perspectives and ideas that are essential for fostering the creativity and growth of any business. OUC’s internship program provides emerging talent with an immersive view of the utility industry through on-the-job training, educational sessions, self-paced learning courses, and individual or team projects. We are looking for a Program Development Intern. During this internship, you will partner with the New Products & Services team.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
  • Academic status of Junior or above.
  • Program of study: Engineering, Marketing, Business
  • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above at the time of application.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Previous internship experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of business models and phase-gate project management
  • Strong project management and organizational skills
  • Financial acumen with ability to assess value propositions
  • Data analysis, business research skills, and entrepreneurial interest
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Power BI experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated and proactive; able to work independently.
  • Ability to prioritize and resolve issues under deadlines.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solid analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Proven ability to learn new skills quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development of new products and services, including evaluating and justifying customer conservation rebates, EV charging service models, power quality monitoring services for commercial customers, and customer-facing energy storage or solar utilization offerings.
  • Partner closely with a senior analyst to develop financial analyses that support new program proposals and business cases.
  • Assist in drafting work plans and implementation roadmaps for assigned projects.
  • Contribute to the preparation of documentation required to seek approval to move projects into the implementation phase.
  • Analyze data, test assumptions, and support product and market analysis to inform decision-making.
