About The Position

The Work-Based Learning Program Developer facilitates work-based learning opportunities that connect students with employers in high-demand career fields. This position supports and advances efforts for LCCC’s earn-and-learn programs. The Program Developer is responsible for initiating and coordinating employer engagement activities, collaborating with faculty and other college personnel, supporting student outreach and recruitment, monitoring curriculum changes, tracking work-based learning activities, and assisting with additional program initiatives within earn-and-learn programs. The successful candidate will build relationships with employers whose hiring needs align with the degree programs offered through the earn-and-learn initiatives. Responsibilities include coordinating employer visits with subject matter faculty, assisting in the recruitment of high school and adult students, presenting program updates to LCCC advisors, organizing program information sessions, and working directly with students. The Program Developer also develops relationships with students to understand their professional development needs and provide or refer them to resources such as résumé assistance, interview preparation, and employability skills training. This position supports the identification of work-based learning and employment opportunities for students and assists faculty in helping students understand program requirements while tracking employer and student engagement activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Project Management, Organizational Development, Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum three years of experience in human resources, project management, organizational management, manufacturing, information technology, or related fields with a focus on industry engagement, stakeholder communication, report development, and presenting findings and recommendations.
  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal and written communication skills, the ability to work independently, strong organizational and detail-oriented skills, good problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office is required.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Project Management, Organizational Development, Manufacturing, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum five years of related experience.
  • Demonstrated strong project management and presentation/facilitation skills.
