The Division of Emergency Management is hiring a Program Coordinator that: Coordinates activities of stakeholders engaged in implementation and administration of the program objectives. Collaborates with program participants and stakeholders on planning, implementing, and monitoring of provision of program services. Job duties include but are not limited to the following: Interprets laws, regulations, policies, and procedures regarding Kentucky disasters and federal assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and other recovery agencies. Identifying specific needs, coordinating the location, obtaining, and distribution of volunteers, recovery resources, and state, and federal assistance for survivors and impacted communities. Serve as the Commonwealth's liaison with the Kentucky Voluntary Organizations Active in Disasters (KY VOAD), American Red Cross, FEMA, etc., to ensure proper dissemination of disaster data and identified needs. Provide training and orientation programs for volunteers, survivors, federal, state, and local agencies to ensure maximization of recovery resources. Solicit recovery resources from state, federal, nonprofit, religious, and business sector entities; arranging for the speedy and equitable distribution of such. Maintain situational awareness of all federal and state policies, procedures, regulations, and laws regarding the individuals and Households Assistance Program; taking the coordination lead when assigned. Provide support to the State Emergency Operations Center during activations.
