About The Position

The Secretary of State Office is a constitutional office within the General Government Cabinet of the Commonwealth of Kentucky. The Secretary of State's office offers several services that support citizens and business entities in the Commonwealth. The Office of the Secretary of State is seeking a highly organized, mission-driven professional to serve as Program Coordinator for the state’s Safe at Home program. This position plays a vital role in administering a confidential address program that protects survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, trafficking, and other crimes. The Program Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, compliance requirements, participant services, and outreach efforts of the Safe at Home program. This position works closely with advocacy organizations, government agencies, law enforcement, and community partners to ensure program integrity, confidentiality, and accessibility. Requirements

  • Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • Three years of professional experience in management or administration.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, stalking, or trafficking.
  • Familiarity with public records law and confidentiality statutes.
  • Experience in government or nonprofit program administration.
  • Bilingual proficiency (Spanish or other languages) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and coordinate all aspects of the Safe at Home Program.
  • Review and process participant applications and renewals.
  • Ensure compliance with state statutes, policies, and confidentiality requirements.
  • Serve as liaison to victim advocacy organizations, shelters, and community partners.
  • Conduct outreach, training, and public education on program eligibility and processes.
  • Maintain secure records and oversee data management systems.
  • Prepare reports, legislative updates, and program performance metrics.
  • Assist in policy development and continuous program improvement initiatives.
