About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic Program Coordinator in our Office of Agricultural Marketing, Direct Farm Marketing Division. This person will have the following responsibilities: Serves as the coordinator for the Kentucky Agritourism program. Develop marketing campaigns for Kentucky’s agritourism destinations. Works closely with Agritourism operations on the initial setup and continued support with educational training and assistance with their KY Proud membership and marketing needs. Serves as the planner for Agritourism events, meetings, trainings, and conferences. Works with partner organizations to collaborate and support Agritourism activities and events. Coordinates meetings for the Kentucky Agritourism Advisory Council. Design and develop social media campaigns around the Agritourism program and other programs in the Division. Represents the Department at outside events and speaks at meetings for the Direct Farm Marketing Division Programs. Provides support and collaborates with program participants at the Farmer’s Market Program, Community Supported Agriculture (CSA), and other Programs in the Division. Some travel will be required in this position. Requirements

  • EDUCATION: Graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree.
  • EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, OR SKILLS: Three years of professional experience in management or administration.
  • Substitute EDUCATION for EXPERIENCE: A master's degree will substitute for one year of the required experience.
  • Substitute EXPERIENCE for EDUCATION: Administrative or business experience will substitute for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  • SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (AGE, LICENSURE, REGULATION, ETC.): NONE
