Program Coordinator - US Hunger Relief
About The Position
Do you have a heart for service, strong organizational skills, and a passion for supporting local communities through hunger relief? Operation Blessing (OB) is seeking a dedicated and mission-driven Program Coordinator to support the daily execution of our U.S. Hunger Relief programs. In this frontline role, you will coordinate food distribution activities, serve ministry and community partners, support volunteers, and maintain accurate data and records to ensure program excellence. Serving in this position facilitates ministry activities and contributes to OB’s Biblical mission to extend a helping hand in Christ’s name to meet physical and spiritual needs.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of experience in food distribution, warehouse operations, volunteer coordination, community services, or nonprofit programs preferred
- Strong organizational and recordkeeping skills with sharp attention to detail
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
- Ability to interact respectfully and professionally with diverse partners, volunteers, and communities
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Salesforce or similar systems is a plus
- Ability to lift and move food products and work in warehouse or outdoor conditions as needed
- Reliable, team-oriented, and mission-driven with a strong commitment to service
- Demonstrate life application of Biblical principles and practices in alignment with OB’s nonprofit Christian mission
Responsibilities
- Coordinate food distribution activities
- Serve ministry and community partners
- Support volunteers
- Maintain accurate data and records to ensure program excellence
- Ensure all food quality and food safety standards are consistently maintained.
- Accurately enter partner records, inventory usage, client counts, and distribution data into Salesforce or other databases
- Assist Program Supervisor and Program Manager with special projects, audits, operational tasks, and site visits
- Support high-volume or emergency response distributions as needed
- Work in warehouse, distribution center, and community environments, including occasional local travel and weekend work
