About The Position

The Physical Therapist Program Coordinator plays a central role in supporting clinical, research, educational, and administrative initiatives within the Center for Physical Therapy and Movement Science (CPTMS). This position provides advanced neurologic, clinical care in a screening clinic, coordinates interdisciplinary programs, manages technology and data systems, supports communications and events, and fosters collaboration across Emory University and Emory Healthcare.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to the program.
  • Two years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Licensed Physical Therapist in GA, with >2 years clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with Epic (required), Canva, Redcap, and other data/communication platforms (preferred).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across disciplines.
  • Familiarity with research and academic environments is preferred.
  • Graduation from Neurological Physical Therapy Residency or Board-certified Neurologic Clinical Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develops work plans to accomplish program goals and objectives and monitors progress toward their achievement.
  • Conducts research and gathers information to develop various publications.
  • Develops promotional materials which may include content for reports, briefings, newsletters, grants or other written information related to the program.
  • Assists in developing and coordinating program-related conferences, conventions, or meetings.
  • Monitors expenditures and may participate in the budget planning process and prepare financial reports.
  • May assist in identifying funding resources and developing fund-raising strategies and initiatives.
  • Prepares operational and statistical reports.
  • Conducts training, represents the program at meetings and conferences, and networks with affiliated groups.
  • May supervise assigned project staff, interns and/or volunteers.
  • Performs related responsibilities as required.
  • Oversee Clinic B Rehabilitation Screening and Stroke VNS Program, including scheduling, data tracking, and SOP development
  • Conduct phone and in-person assessments for program intake.
  • Maintain and update therapy protocols and documentation tools (e.g., VNS Tracker, Therapy Battery).
  • Collaborate with outpatient therapists and Epic system administrators.
  • Serve as super-user for devices such as Kinesis and GaitRate across multiple clinical sites.
  • Manage app updates, device deployment, and SOP documentation.
  • Utilize Epic for smartphrase refinement, data reporting (SlicerDicer), and export protocols.
  • Utilize data platforms including Redcap, Jotform, and Emory Resource Scheduler.
  • Manage CPTMS newsletters, flyers, and social media presence (LinkedIn, Instagram).
  • Coordinate STORMS seminars and collaborate with Continuing Education Committee.
  • Maintain CPTMS website content and faculty listings.
  • Serve as primary contact for [email protected].
  • Organize and participate in STORMS seminars, Research Day, and Health Services Research Day.
  • Handle logistics including room reservations, speaker coordination, and video uploads.
  • Attend and contribute to monthly Stroke Program, Continuing Education, and Research Committee meetings.
  • Represent CPTMS in semi-annual Center Managing Director meetings.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to enhance program visibility and impact.
