About The Position

The Program Coordinator of Medical Education (CQI) works under the direction of the Academic Dean to implement strategy and support decision-making related to the school’s academic affiliations, medical education CQI priorities, and adherence with accreditation requirements promulgated by the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME). The successful candidate will have a proven track record of directing complex, high-profile, multi-stakeholder projects; providing strategic insight into and tactical direction related to meeting accreditation requirements; establishing and sustaining CQI processes; and creating a positive and inclusive work environment, with high standards of excellence. Under the guidance of the Academic Dean, the Coordinator will manage affiliation agreements, faculty appointments, maintain compliance with accreditation requirements, help to coordinate the faculty development and resident-as-educator trainings, and provide project management support for educational research collaborations. Position: SE- Program Coordinator, Medical Education (BMCAP) Department: Brighton Marine Support Schedule: Full Time ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES: Under the direction of the Academic Dean, the Coordinator will be responsible for the following: Facilitate the coordination of academic appointments and promotions through the affiliated medical school(s). Implement the strategic and tactical direction for clerkship optimization through faculty development, curriculum improvement, and evaluation analysis and project management. Engage with the clerkship directors to monitor systems and processes and promote CQI. Oversee the CQI plan, managing the collection, analysis, and synthesis of pertinent accreditation and quality improvement data for communication and required reporting to relevant stakeholders. Ensure all LCME accreditation requirements are documented and processed in accordance with established timelines and policy, including completing annual reporting requirements and participating in midyear clerkship evaluations. Manage the medical student accounting, and funds flow from the medical schools. Facilitate the distribution of training materials and coordinate the scheduling of the departmental and hospital wide presentations of the SEMC Academic Dean. Serve as Clerkship Coordinator for Neurology. Contribute to the development of relevant policies and procedures. Compensation Range: $49,500.00- $71,500.00 This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications.
