About The Position

The Program Coordinator II is responsible for coordinating activities associated with a specific program or group of programs in a specialty/functional area including scheduling, coordination of communication, data management, document preparation, and process improvement. The Program Coordinator II will also provide proposal support with technical input and development of relevant program experience/past performance. This is an on-site position assigned to the Lackland Air Force Base in Texas. A thorough government background check will be required. About the Project Program Coordinator II will support a critical care transport retrospective study to identify best practice strategies for nurse augmenters. Compensation: $85,000

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Business, Healthcare/Sciences, Human Services or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 2-3 years’ experience in program coordination on research programs to include clinical trials, experience with federally funded contracts or grants desired
  • 2-3 years of project analysis, reporting, and budget planning in complex organization-level initiatives; preferably in a healthcare setting
  • 2-3 years’ experience in staff management desired
  • Must be organized, attentive to detail, and possess a positive, friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Computer skills including at least intermediate level experience with Excel and other Microsoft Office Software.
  • Must successfully complete CITI training and remain current.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of federal regulation including FDA, CFR, GCP, etc.
  • Demonstrate competence in written and oral communication
  • Must be flexible with changing priorities and able to communicate in a diplomatic and professional manner

  • Healthcare background and knowledge of military system preferred

Responsibilities

  • Supports Government directors, PIs, in the planning, programming, and execution of clinical research projects and protocols and associated activities.
  • Provide research-related recommendations and support to Principal investigators.
  • Maintains study records in accordance with protocols, study schedules, participant observations, and provides follow up documentation to the PI.
  • Assists with study eligibility, enrollment and/or activities related to the conduct of the study.
  • Coordinates simultaneous projects for the PI; confers with investigator on experimental design; provides instruction on various research laboratory techniques, and study participant contact procedures as needed.
  • Organizes research information; manages reporting and data collection.
  • Monitors research study budget as needed.
  • Research equipment/supply catalogs and recommend purchase requests for projects/protocols in accordance with the IRB.
  • Documents all regulatory research and administrative actions to ensure study compliance.
  • Prepares/delivers required reports and other research documentation to PI.
  • Prepares correspondence, builds study files, develops schedules, and presentation graphics to support the research study.
  • Uses available software systems, specifically which includes the current accounts tracking systems, publication submissions, preparation and coordination of purchase orders, purchases, and any funding forms.
  • Liaison with large teams to include program staff at various Military Treatment Facilities
  • Accountable for ensuring effective communication among stakeholders and program staff
  • Coordinate with Principal Investigators and Program Managers in maintaining several program management tools that support stakeholder communications, quality management, and schedule and performance monitoring
  • Responsible for the organization, prioritization, and coordination of a moderate to high volume of complex work in support of the program
  • Work in collaboration with the Program Manager and other program staff to help to implement the program’s objectives in support of identified goals and the continuous improvement process
