The NC Department of Administration is the business manager for North Carolina state government. The department oversees Government Operations such as building construction, purchasing and contracting for goods and services, maintaining facilities, managing state vehicles, acquiring and disposing of real property, and operating auxiliary services such as courier mail delivery and the sale of state and federal surplus property. Additionally, the department manages many of the state's advocacy programs that provide assistance and services to diverse segments of the state's population that have been traditionally underserved. The North Carolina Department of Administration is seeking applicants for a Program Coordinator I (working title: Family Violence Prevention and Services Act (FVPSA) Program Coordinator) with the Division for Women and Youth. The Program Coordinator will help to ensure accountability for multiple federal funding streams awarded by the NC Division for Women and Youth to shelter and prevention programs. FVPSA Core grant funds currently support over 40 domestic violence shelters in NC providing life-saving emergency shelters, crisis lines, counseling, and victim assistance. These programs also promote coordination between different community resources, including support prevention and public awareness initiatives, making the response to violence more effective. FVPSA is administered from within the Family and Youth Services Bureau of the US Department of Health and Human Services. Grant funds are distributed monthly to program subgrantees on a reimbursement basis.
