About The Position

Under direct supervision, the Program Coordinator I performs administrative and programmatic duties related to and in support of the Nuclear Response Section, which is responsible for radiological response activities related to nuclear facilities and radiological shipments in South Carolina. Responsibilities include procurement, travel coordination, budget tracking, property and fleet oversight, and participating in emergency response activities.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma and relevant program experience.
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply relevant laws, regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Excellent data management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Work effectively in a team-oriented environment and encourage positive working relationships with coworkers and industry and government officials.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully complete prescribed training and pass any test relevant to the position within the probationary period or trial period.
  • Ability to manage and track multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of State and Agency procurement procedures.
  • Experience with initiating the procurement process using the South Carolina Enterprise Information System (SCEIS).
  • Experience working with grant funds.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and processes, using SCEIS and other related software, all requisitions, contracts, and funding assignments in the procurement of supplies, equipment, utilities, contracts, and services.
  • Tracks grant awards, budgets, and expenditures to ensure compliance with funding guidelines and timelines.
  • Organizes, develops, and implements procedures for recording, routine sorting, distributing, and filing documentations, reports, correspondence, and administrative forms.
  • Coordinates all aspects of employee travel in compliance with agency policies and procedures.
  • Ensures accurate processing and maintenance of travel requests, approvals, reimbursements, and documentation to support program operations.
  • Maintains and coordinates inventory of all supplies, furniture, and equipment.
  • Ensures appropriate insurance coverage is maintained.
  • Maintains records related to maintenance, repair, transfer, disposal, or sale of any equipment, furniture, or supplies in accordance with agency policies.
  • Collects monthly vehicle mileage logs and reports to State Fleet Management.
  • Tracks leased vehicle invoicing and ensures all vehicles meet State Fleet usage requirements.
  • Coordinates repairs with local shops and/or State Park Garage.
  • Maintains records related to duties as Fleet Coordinator.
  • Activities during drills, exercises, and real-world events at assigned locations.
  • Participates in required training.
  • Performs other duties as required.
