This full-time grant-funded position is funded until June 30, 2028. It provides administrative support to the PD and Co-PDs of the Barry University CRAFT Scholars -- Cultivating Resilience Through Agriculture and Food Training Program. This is an undergraduate scholarship program that also provides academic support and off-campus experiences for 30 scholars from low-income backgrounds. The Craft project coordinator also provides support to the Associate Dean in oversight and timely scheduling of all aspects of the program, including event coordination, marketing, and general logistics, from one-day seminars or field trips to larger, multi-day group travel. The coordinator will manage the day-to-day activities of the CRAFT program, coordinate student and faculty schedules, input budgetary items, maintain documents in an organized way, coordinate travel arrangements for student and faculty travel to meetings, USDA field sites, summer internships, and coordinate travel arrangements for visiting scientists. The coordinator will work with the Associate Dean to liaise with Financial Grants Management and document spend authorizations and expense reports following University and Federal policies. The coordinator will input activity pay for summer faculty, and help to ensure completion of evaluation surveys and interviews of scholars with the external evaluator from UF.
