The Jackson County Circuit Court in Medford, Oregon, is hiring a Behavioral Health/Aid & Assist Program Coordinator (Program Coordinator). In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our behavioral health program. You will help plan and implement the Behavioral Health/Aid & Assist Court docket. You will coordinate and lead case management meetings and program team meetings. You will keep abreast of national standards and best practices for behavioral health courts, offer suggestions to improve our behavioral health program, and help implement changes. You will also track deadlines and ensure cases comply with all applicable deadlines, laws, rules, and policies. Collaboration is a key part of this position. You will liaise with judges, court management, OJD employees statewide, the Oregon Health Authority, local behavioral health providers, community partners, the District Attorney’s office, public defenders, probation officers, governmental agencies, and other interested parties. You will coordinate training for external stakeholders. You will also join local and statewide internal and external committees to further the program’s mission and goals. Additionally, you will provide administrative support. This work includes preparing meeting minutes, collecting information about program participants, conducting research, preparing various statistical and other reports, and gathering background information about potential program participants. You will also answer questions from program participants about the program. You will spend part of your time providing coverage in court for the Treatment Court Coordinators as needed. Assigned tasks may be changed to accommodate workload and organizational needs.

Requirements

  • The qualified candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, behavioral or social/human services, or a closely related field.
  • Three (3) years of increasingly responsible technical or professional-level program experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
  • Any combination of education and experience equivalent to seven (7) years of experience that typically supports the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for the position.
