About The Position

As a Program Content Analyst (PCA) , you have responsibility for working with Program Managers, Marketing Product Managers, VDS Analysts and the Engineering Organization to produce and manage a quality Product Program Content (PPC) which is used throughout GM. Additionally you will consult on Build Combination reduction ideas and ensure the packages and restrictions strings are ready for VDS handoff.

  • Ability to develop and analyze complex information and provide clear recommendations for improvement
  • Experience successfully working cross-functionally as One Team, organizing and planning work with others
  • Experience using Excel/Word/PowerPoint software applications

Responsibilities

  • Publish the initial Product Program Content (PPC) and updates for new vehicle programs and subsequent model years
  • Manage all PPC data for assigned vehicle programs in the Program Content Authoring Tool (PCAT), PPC Analyzer, and Global Docs PPC sites
  • Provide periodic Build Combination data, analysis, and understanding to PETs and Provide restriction and packaging recommendations to reduce build combinations
  • Collaborate with key Program Execution Team (PET) members (Program Managers, Product Managers, etc.)
  • Provide process/tool guidance to Program Management leaders responsible for making quality PPC decisions
  • Manage timely production of PPC data while working with multiple PETs, balancing priorities as needed
  • Carefully manage PPC data security to proper access levels to both GM and JV people
  • Work globally when Work Share Agreements dictate shared roles with other regional team members
  • Attend Program Execution Team (PET), content workshops, or Change Request (PCCR) meetings as needed
  • Use various tools and methods to manage/validate content data to assure quality, including Excel, VBA, other Office tools, and GM proprietary tools
  • Perform special studies and analyses, and periodically lead project teams on program content method improvement
  • As a user of content databases/systems/tools, recommend process and system enhancements, and participate in defining system/tool requirements and testing
  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) on systems/tools as required
  • Work with the System Management Teams (SMT) Technical Specialists to define global relationships between RPOs
