What can you look forward as a Program Buyer: Support projects through procurement of all materials needed for a particular end product Support the implementation of the ZF commodity strategies Manage the whole purchasing process for new products or localization of existing products through supplier search, Bill of Material cost management; support the commodity organization in their request for quotations, commercial negotiations, contractual agreements including warranty and consignment agreements, prototype orders, and purchase orders and/or scheduling agreements. Monitor the performance of the suppliers during program launch and through product life cycle Continuously review cost performance to target; nominate parts for Global Competitive Sourcing Analyze North American supply base to prepare and recommend suppliers to be added/removed from the approved supplier list as well as nominate suppliers for the Strategic Supplier List. Perform duties as assigned

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering or Business Administration, Economics or related field
2+ years of relevant experience in a professional purchasing capacity (i.e. technical/commodity purchasing, purchasing project management, purchasing management, etc.).
Experience with supplier analysis and evaluation (i.e. quality, capacity, cost, etc.)
Experience with supplier bidding process and complex negotiations
Proficient with Microsoft Office (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project etc.)
Experience with APQP and/or project management tools and methods
Proven ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel and management and proven ability to work independently in a fast paced, high-volume environment

Responsibilities
