About The Position

ITTConnect is seeking a Program Business Analyst to work for one of our clients. This is a new contract position with a client that is a global leader in consulting, digital transformation, technology and engineering services present in nearly 50 countries. The end client is in the Utilities/Energy sector. Job location : Columbus, OH. Job is hybrid, 2-3 days a week onsite as needed. This is also open to Cincinnati, Dayton; the hybrid work can be flexible if necessary, depending on distance. The Program Business Analyst for the Gigawatt Program serves as a critical functional contributor responsible for defining, documenting, and managing the use case framework that drives scope, traceability, and schedule delivery across the program. This role works directly with product owners, functional leads, and technical teams to establish the foundational building blocks through which all program deliverables are measured and governed Why this Role Matters : The use case is the atomic unit of scope for the Gigawatt Program. Every test case written, every API built, and every process flow documented traces back to a use case. The BA in this role directly enables the program's ability to measure progress, manage scope, and deliver with confidence.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of business analysis experience on large-scale enterprise programs
  • Proven expertise in use case development methodology — including UML-based use case modeling, actor/system interaction flows, and alternate path documentation
  • Experience building and maintaining traceability matrices in complex, multi-workstream environments
  • Strong facilitation skills with demonstrated ability to drive alignment across business and technical stakeholders
  • Proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, SharePoint

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and lead structured working sessions with product owners and subject matter experts to elicit, analyze, and document use cases — including detailed step-by-step flows, actors, preconditions, predecessors, and alternate/exception paths
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive Program-Level Use Case Inventory , providing high-level descriptions, categorization, and ownership attribution for each use case across all functional domains
  • Build and manage a Requirements Traceability Matrix (RTM) that maps use cases to downstream program deliverables, including business requirements, test cases, API specifications, process flows, and system configurations
  • Partner with the PMO to align the use case structure with the program's schedule delivery framework , ensuring use case completion milestones serve as measurable progress indicators across workstreams
  • Identify gaps, overlaps, and dependencies across use cases to support integrated program planning and risk management
  • Maintain living documentation as requirements evolve, facilitating change control through appropriate processes
  • Collaborate with QA, development, and 3rd Parties (including the Gigawatt team members) to validate that test cases and technical deliverables trace back accurately to approved use cases
  • Leverage collaborative tooling ( Jira, Confluence, SharePoint ) to maintain Use Case Documentation and the Traceability Matrix
