About The Position

Serve as the first point of contact for individuals calling or visiting the Office of the General Counsel; assist with problem solving for day-to-day operations of the office, including independent research and handling of a variety of basic administrative matters; assist in establishing work priorities and assignments of OPS student assistants; manage the daily office Outlook calendar, to include scheduling of the library/conference room; prepare, track receive, and process incoming and outgoing mail daily, including express and certified. Research, coordinate, and process all purchasing needs of the office with staff, University personnel and Suppliers, using purchasing formats such as P-Card, requisitions, purchase orders, including auxiliary PO's, and Interdepartmental Requisition forms; process and deposit incoming cash/checks and maintain the department deposit binder; assist with tracking, reviewing and reporting on the monthly reconciliation of departmental expenses. Assist in coordinating and maintaining the office filing system; attend workshops, training sessions and other meetings to remain current on functions relative to the University and department operations; run errands on and off campus as needed; serve as inventory taker annually, as well as scheduling and sending property to Surplus as needed; perform other duties as assigned; and perform all duties of the position with detailed accuracy and a minimum of oversight.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent and four years of experience. (Note: post-high school education can substitute for experience at the equivalent rate.)
  • Valid Florida or Georgia Driver's License, or the ability to obtain prior to hire.
