To perform a variety of routine and clerical, secretarial and administrative work in answering phones, receiving the public and providing customer assistance to the Senior Citizens. Program Assistant is responsible for assisting the Senior Center Manager with paperwork and routine operation of the Center. Employee has no supervisory responsibilities. CORE COMPETENCIES: Performs routine clerical and administrative work in answering phones, receiving the public, and providing customer assistance. Acts as an information and referral source in the community, guiding persons to the appropriate person or agency. Answers in-coming calls and routes callers or provides information as required. Attends various meetings when the Manager is unavailable. Assists Manager with implementation and facilitation of programs. Operates listed office machines as required.
